RevolutionAir™ threading and Automatic Thread Delivery

The RevolutionAir™ threading system uses air to simplify threading the loopers and needles, removing one of the jobs many people find frustrating about using an overlocker.

Baby Lock’s Automatic Thread Delivery (ATD) takes care of thread delivery without relying on conventional individual tension settings.

Together, these systems mean you can spend less time threading and adjusting the machine and more time concentrating on your sewing.

This can be particularly useful when moving between different fabrics, stitches and thread types.

More control while you sew

The Serenity introduces several features designed to give you greater control over the machine.

Electronic speed control allows you to reduce the maximum sewing speed for detailed work or while you’re learning a new technique.

The needle up/down function gives you control over where the needle stops, while automatic feed-dog lowering makes positioning and removing fabric easier when the presser foot is raised.

A knee lever lets you lift the presser foot while keeping both hands on your work.

New Snap-On Needle System

The Serenity features Baby Lock’s new Snap-On Needle System, designed to make inserting and positioning the needles easier.

Changing overlocker needles can traditionally be fiddly because of the limited working space around the needle area. The new system is intended to simplify that process and make routine needle changes more straightforward.

Creative overlocking and Wave Stitch

The Serenity isn’t limited to neatening raw fabric edges.

Baby Lock’s distinctive Wave Stitch creates decorative stitching that can become part of the finished design rather than being hidden inside a garment.

Combined with different thread types and colours, the Serenity can be used for decorative edges, rolled hems, flatlock effects, garment construction and creative finishing as well as everyday overlocking.
