We aim to have your sewing machine with you in the fastest time possible. If you need it urgently or faster than the estimated time, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate this. We can now offer you a 24-48hrs turnaround on your sewing machine service for an extra cost (see below)

We will also give an estimated price when you drop your machine off. If we are not able to fix your machine within that price, we will call for your approval. If you do decide at that point not to continue with the service or repair, we do not charge you.

Hi I’m Duncan Adams, the proud owner of Sewing Direct. Sewing is my passion and I get this from my mother who has been an inspiration to me for many years. From working in the retail shop with the founder Malcolm Davidson, to becoming the proud owner of Sewing Direct in 2016.
Sewing Direct is the longest established sewing machine service and repair shop in Nottingham.
We are proud to be authorised dealers for all the top sewing machine brands. In the last year we have serviced and repaired 534 machines, only 6 machines were unrepairable due to obsolete parts. I’m so determined I will do everything I can to repair every machine that comes into my shop.

A: On the rare occasion we can’t fix your machine we can either send it back to you, dispose of it or give you £10 off your next purchase.
Q2: Will you repair my machine without consulting me first?
A: Absolutely not! I will diagnose the fault and then call you with a quote before carrying out any work.
Q3: What do you charge for your services and repairs?
A: The initial diagnosis and report is FREE, for all other work we have a transparent pricing menu click here.
