The HZL-DX5 is a formidable machine, effortlessly sewing through an impressive 13 layers of denim. Moreover, it offers a versatile selection of 37-needle left/right positions when operating in straight stitch mode.
Cutting-edge auto thread trimming function
With its cutting-edge auto thread trimming function, say goodbye to scissors after each seam. A simple press of the thread trimmer button cleanly severs both top and bobbin threads near the sewn fabric. Moreover, this machine's ingenious drawing of the top thread beneath before cutting sets it apart. Consequently, this minimises thread wastage and enhances efficiency, resulting in impeccably tidy seams.
The HZL-DX5 combines the Auto Lock Stitch with programmable thread trimming, enhancing efficiency. This intelligent computerized sewing marvel automatically locks stitches at the start and end of a seam. Additionally, it snips the threads, eliminating the need for reversing or reaching for scissors.
Diverse range of stitches and patterns
With a diverse range of 185 patterns, including upper and lowercase alphabet fonts, 22 utility patterns, 8 buttonhole styles, and 10 quilting designs, this sewing machine offers endless creative possibilities. Moreover, you can save names or phrases in the machine's memory, each with up to 70 characters, making them readily accessible for repeated use.

Straight Stitch Slide Plate - New Feature
Simply slide the front lever to switch to a single needle hole! Sew the lightest fabrics with perfect needle permeation. The single needle plate will not allow fabrics to be pushed into the needle hole. Free motion stitch with precision and perfection. Sew with confidence, when the single needle hole plate is set, only the straight stitch patterns can be selected.

Float Function Prevents Uneven Seams New Feature
By pressing the float button, you can sew with the presser foot slightly raised. By raising the presser foot to float you can sew fabrics without pushing layers or creating uneven seams.

The height of the presser foot can be set in increments of 0.1 mm, allowing delicate adjustment according to the materials.

Foot Switch Function - New Feature
Allowing for greater versatility, Juki now offers assigned foot control options. With the ability to assign function to the heel side of the foot controller you can now lift the presser foot, trim threads, reverse stitch or single stitch by pressing on the heel side of the foot controller. Also allowing for no special settings you have complete control to customize your machine to best fit you.
Presser Foot Pivot Function - New Feature
When you stop sewing, the needle stops in the down position and presser foot automatically lifts to allow for fabric movement. Sew corners or pivot with ease, when you resume sewing the presser foot automatically lowers for continuous smooth sewing.

Setting of the Presser Foot Lifting After Thread Trimming - New Feature
Because the presser foot is automatically lifted after automatic thread trimming, this means that you can quickly remove fabrics.

Adjustable Starting / Reverse Stitch Speed - New Feature
You can adjust the starting and reverse stitch speed between three steps of fast, normal, and slow.
Lock Stitch - New Feature
For the lock stitch at the start and the end of sewing, you can choose two kinds of "Reverse stitch" and "Lock stitch". If you press the lock stitch button in the middle of sewing a pattern, the machine stops after sewing one cycle of the pattern.
Low-Speed Inching Sewing - New Feature
By pressing and holding the needle up/down button, you can sew slowly. Sew corners, stops and starts with precision.
Knee-Lifting Lever
The knee-lifting lever raises and lowers the presser foot. When you use the lever, the presser foot can lift up to 0.5 inches (12mm). Additionally, when the foot reaches its maximum height, you can switch it from automatic operation (button) to manual operation (lever).
Automatic Needle Threader
Simply place the thread in the guide and lower the lever. Easily and quickly thread a needle with one hand.
Bobbin Winder with Independent Motor
To set up the bobbin for winding, simply wind some thread around the bobbin and pass it through the guide. You can wind the bobbin thread every time; furthermore, you can use a cutter after winding.
Quick Bobbin Preparation
The bobbin preparation is easy. Just follow the guide and it is not necessary to pull up the bobbin thread.
