Bernina Adjustable Ruler Foot with Slit #72S

The Adjustable Ruler Foot with slit (#72S) by Bernina allows you to sew effortlessly along a ¼-inch-thick Plexiglass ruler, making it easy to create beautiful quilt designs like lines, feathers, and circles.  The precise markings on both the inside and outside ensure your stitches are always accurate. Plus, with the convenient dial, you can easily adjust the height of the foot to match the thickness of your fabric.

Thanks to the slit in the Adjustable Ruler Foot #72S, you can change a sewing foot without having to cut the thread. This allows an easy transition from Rulerwork to other applications. The foot is compatible with Couching Inserts and Echo-quilting clips.

Any commercial plexiglass longarm quilting rulers with a 1/4 inch thickness can be used. The foot sole's height allows precise quilting along ruler edges, crucial for intricate designs, especially circles.

In this technique, you lower the feed dogs and manually guide the fabric with the ruler, using the base of the foot to rest on the edge of the ruler. The adjustment dial adjusts the foot height to match the fabric thickness, ensuring smooth movement without it getting stuck.  Furthermore, the additional option provided by the adjustable foot height extends the range of application on the Bernina sewing machines without the function "automatic presser foot pressure presser for height".
