We’ve sold a huge number of Brother A16 sewing machines over the years and it remains one of my favourite recommendations for beginners.

The reason is simple. It does everything most people need it to do without overwhelming them with hundreds of stitches they’ll probably never use.

The controls are intuitive, the needle threader is excellent, and the stitch quality is exactly what you’d expect from a Brother machine.
