Time:10.00am till 2.30pm (with a 30min lunch break)

Location: Sewing Direct Mansfield (aka Sally Twinkle), 1 - 5 Handley Arcade, Leeming Street, Mansfield, Notts, NG18 1NQ

Cost: £35.00 

This block is made up with a series of smaller squares together with several half square triangle blocks. 

It can be made with a number of different fabrics but can create a dramatic effect using just 2 fabrics – 1 in a light colour and 1 in a darker colour as seen above. 

Cotton fabrics are ideal in similar weights to ensure a better finished project. 

You will need: 

• your PAT Tested sewing machine – we offer PAT Testing* in store at £5 per item 

• Small scraps of fabric/fat quarters in at least 2 different colours 

• Small pieces of wadding 

• A fat quarter sized piece of fabric for the backing 

• Threads 

• A basic sewing kit (scissors, pins, un-picker, chalk, tape measure)  

Optional equipment rotary cutter, quilting ruler and cutting mat – scissors can be used if preferred. 

If you are unable to bring your own machine, we offer machine hire at the cost of £2.00 per class, to be requested at time of booking.  

Machine Requirements:

• PAT Testing: If you’re bringing your own sewing machine, it must have been PAT tested within the last 12 months. We offer this service in-store for just £5.00. Pre-booking is essential—call us at 01623 626478 to schedule your PAT Test!

The serious stuff: Terms and Conditions

The following guidelines benefit both you, the Customer, and Sewing Direct Mansfield, the Provider:

• You must make full payment at the time of booking.
• Unfortunately, you cannot reserve places.
• We accept Sally Twinkle Gift Vouchers as full or partial payment.
• You cannot use Loyalty Cards to pay for classes/workshops.
• Our Cancellation Policy applies to all bookings.
• We require a minimum of 3 bookings for each class/workshop to run.
• If you are attending a beginner class/workshop and bringing your own sewing machine, ensure it is in full working order with no missing parts and bring the instruction manual. We may refuse ill-maintained machines, and you will need to hire one of our machines.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

If we at Sewing Direct Mansfield need to cancel the class/workshop due to unforeseen circumstances or insufficient class numbers, we will give you a full refund.

If you need to cancel for any reason, the following applies:

• If you cancel up to 10 days before the class/workshop date, we will give you a full refund. Alternatively, you may transfer your payment to another class/workshop, subject to availability.
• If you cancel with less than 10 days and up to 24 hours before the class/workshop date, and we cannot fill your space, we will not provide a refund. However, we will offer you a 10% discount if you book an alternative date at the time of your cancellation.
• If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, we will not provide a refund.
• If you do not attend on the day, we will not provide a refund.
• We will issue any eligible refunds after the class/workshop has taken place, unless we cancel the class/workshop.
