The Pfaff Smarter 160's is an excellent machine for beginners and also for anybody interested in making clothes or soft furnishing. It's easy to thread and has different stitch styles. The instruction booklet is easy to follow. In the 1970's when I was a prolific dressmaker... the Pfaff machine I bought cost about the same price as this one.
